Albert Coke Roth, III, Esq.

Albert Coke Roth, III, known by all as "Coke," was born on November 15, 1949 in Wenatchee, Washington, and spent most of his young life in Moses Lake, Washington, graduating from Moses Lake High School in 1968. Coke studied four years at the University of Washington, with his Junior year spent in Germany, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in German Area Studies/Germanics in 1972. After working and training in Los Angeles with the Gallo Wine Company, Coke joined Roth Distributing Company in 1973 and was President of this family beverage distributorship until it was sold in 1989.

Coke at the age of 40, attended the University of Puget Sound School of Law from 1990-1993 and was admitted to practice in Washington on November 4, 1993. He worked for Raekes, Rettig, Osborne, Forgette, O?Donnell and Adamson (now Rettig, Osborne, Forgette) during law school and for three years thereafter, striking out on his own in September, 1996. Coke was admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Washington on June 24, 1994, the Western District of Washington Federal District Courts on April 7, 1995 and was admitted to practice in Oregon in 2002.

Coke?s Areas of Practice

Coke is well known as an international wine judge and has been a community volunteer throughout his entire life. Coke was awarded the Governor?s Award for Volunteerism in 1996, Kennewick Man of the Year, Tri-Citian of the Year in 1997, Community Professional of the Year from the ARC in 2007, and numerous other awards recognizing his volunteer activities.

Coke is married to Mary Roth, an Accountant and has three children: Casey, an Escrow Officer/Limited Practice Officer; Frank, the Winemaker at Tagaris Winery; and Soleil, an Ice Skating Champion.

Timothy M. Coleman, Esq.

Timothy M. Coleman, (‘Tim’) was born October 5 ,1957 in Laurel, Mississippi. Because of his parent’s occupations, Tim moved quite a bit growing up, living in New Mexico, Arizona, South Dakota, and Iowa before graduating from Walla Walla High School.

Tim spent 2 years in Germany on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and worked in a number of business enterprises before deciding to go back to school and get his degree. He received a BA in International Relations from Brigham Young University in 1990, and then attended law school at Creighton University, graduating from Creighton in 1993. During law school Tim had the opportunity to work for Leavy, Schultz, Davis and Fearing, and went to work full time for them upon graduation. He was admitted to practice in the State of Washington on October 22, 1993, and the federal courts of the Eastern District of Washington in that same year. In 1996, Tim joined Lamb-Weston, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ConAgra Foods, Inc. as in-house counsel. While with Lamb-Weston, Tim was heavily involved in the business as well as the legal side of the company, running sales regions in Northern California and Toronto, Canada. In addition, he worked closely with Lamb-Weston’s international sales forces in Asia and Latin America. Tim left the corporate world in 2005 and joined Coke in January of 2006.

Tim is married to Kim Coleman (a native Kiwi), a stay-at-home mom to the couple's four children: Ty, Michael, Trey and Sydney.

Becky J. Smolak

Becky was born in Martinez, California and has lived in California, Oregon and Washington all her life. Becky attended junior high and high school in The Dalles, Oregon. Becky and her daughter, Sarah, moved to the Tri Cities in 1991. Becky began her legal secretary career in 1980 in Portland, Oregon and continued working in the legal field in California and Washington. Becky helped Coke set up his law office in 1996 when he struck out on his own and has been with him ever since.

Becky is a member of the National Notary Association and the National Association of Legal Assistants, and is the manager of her own mobile notary service, Ace Mobile Notary, LLC.

Becky’s family consists of her husband, Ed, her daughter, Sarah, and two Chinese pugs, Kisses and Hugs. Becky enjoys being involved with her Church, scrapbooking, bowling and reading.

Judy Erath
Judy was born Brainerd, Minnesota and graduated from Powell County High School, Deer Lodge, Montana; AA University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA); and received her Paralegal / Legal Assistant Certification from USC School of Law, Los Angeles California.  Her legal secretary/paralegal career began in Los Angeles and has continued in the legal field in California, Nevada, Montana and Washington. She retired 1999 and stayed retired for 2 months to freelance.  After 5 years of freelance work, she joined Coke's family of staff part time in September, 2005.

Her family consists of her husband, Bob Miller, her daughter, Marty who lives in Phoenix, Arizona; her son, Ralph who lives in the Tri-Cities and her grandson Austin.  She moved to Tri-Cities in 1991 when she became a grandmother.

Besides working for Coke, Judy is an independent loan closer.  She is a craft bazaar participant throughout Washington and Nevada and she and her husband enjoy traveling and her church.
